Boxing day is supposed to be the day when all the rich bastards who could afford a lavish Christmas Party boxed up all the left overs and distributed them to the Poor deserving mugs who had no Christmas at all.Woodie wrote:Well Merry Christmas and all but what is this Boxing Day you speak of? Here in Canada it is only Christmas Day One thing I have noticed on my own and other's K's is the asymetric carbonisation of the heads (that might be some Christmas cheer induced terminology). Is there any good engineering/scientific explanation of this? The engine is looking fabulous nonetheless Charlie and I appreciate all the pictures to use as a benchmark for my own work.
Cheers, Woodie
RickG is a good 18 hours ahead of those of us on the US west coast, and likely 15 ahead of you, Woodie. The rest of the east coast of OZ is an hour more ahead due to Daylight Saving Time and Summer and all. It's barely 4c and raining outdoors here at the moment. Ah, what I'd give this very instant to feel those warm breezes and radiant sun on my back, with 50spf on for sure!Woodie wrote:"Cynical yes I know but if there is one thing I have learned in my close to 70 years on this earth is that I have not been anywhere cynical enough." Hear, hear!! ("Won't Get Fooled Again" is the soundtrack playing in my head just now)
I know about the original intention for the day after Christmas and my house really needs to get back to that but I was just highlighting the time difference between 'youse and us. I'm just coasting to the end of Christmas day at the moment

and lastly for today did a little polishing of the sump face that sits near the exhaust ...the finned areas will have to wait till I can get access to a bead - soda blaster to clean out the paint - corrosion deep in the fins ...blast !!
Got to be at least 10% doesn’t it?MartinW wrote:How much of a top speed increase will a red frame give you.
