Model for the sidecar in copper, made from old electrical wire (my dad is an electrician...)
Thees pictures are from the winter 2004/2005 when we first built the sidecar for the SV1000S and five years later we changed it over to the 1984 K100
Then we jump foreward to 2010 and the building of the K100 with this sidecar!
A moose wanted a taste of a K100:
After some maintenance it finally started and we got to testride it to check if it was okay!
It didn't run like it should, it had been on the side on a pallet half the length of Norway in a lorry...
Then we startet thinking about the construction of a new single sided suspension, we had one from the SV1000S, but we soon realised that it wouldnt fit the K100, so a new idea was forming in my dads head. All the templates were made out of wood with a staplegun and then we just bent pipes that matched the templates so and so... The wishbones length and placement was desided by mounting the tire to a table and then moving it around until it was in line and the lengt fitted the rest.
Templates for wishbones
First try on making wishbones:

Before final paint and fishing touches, one year from this date.
We bought a K1100 which looked like something a crazy man could have designed and made, we stripped it and changed engine with the K100.
