Hello, all.

MY main bike is a 2000 K1200LT which has been my daily rider for the past 3 years.  Wanted something smaller for winter riding so I have recently purchased a 1988 K100LT.  I am the 3rd owner.  It was originally sold in Belgium, then imported to the UK, then imported to Canada (British Columbia).

It is in 'original' condition in that it still has all its bumps and bruises.  The Speedometer/Odometer stopped working "over 50,000 miles ago" the last owner told me and the odometer current reads just under 90,000 miles.  The only things missing seems to be the engine guard bars and the exhaust shield.

Looking forward to seeking out all the ways people have fixed the little and big issues.

Cheers.

Welcome!  Your bike looks to be very nicely patinated(is that a word?) for it's age and mileage.  In my humble opinion, a good cleaning after fixing the mechanical issues is all the cosmetics she should need.

Welcome to you and your well travelled bike. Lots of info and clever people on this site for help and advice. Be careful when using the words cafe and racer together here though, not all contributors fully approve of such modifications to such a well thought out and competent machine. I do, I have to, I bought a part converted bike and don't really see a way back as I didn't get any of the fairing panels with it.

Hi there, QuietLT Smile

Very nice looking bike indeed! It looks to be taken good care off, regarding the mudflap on the front fender! (Very helpfull to keep spray, stones etc away from the engine.)
Welcome to this society; the search-engine can be helpfull! Keep us posted ?

Greetings from the Netherlands cheers
Jos
