Gasoline, kerosene (is best), denatured alcohol, brake cleaner, a good degreaser all work

It can't hurt to leave the sealant to keep out water or apply a new bead

Be on the look out for a another 16 tooth drive shaft

Thanks...I decided not to pull out the drive shaft and lube it ....next tire change...I don’t wanna go thru the hassle of pulling out and re-aligning....I feel like since it’s my first time I might have a issue and I was told it’s probably fine anyways

Why? They last much, much longer than the Z20 ones.

While we're talking splines ...

Has anyone found a use for a worn drive shaft? Got one in the garage and can't bring myself to throw it out ... can't think what to use it for?

You can renew the splines. Cut off the old ones and weld on a new set from Motobins.
Regards Martin.

I have heard of people replacing the u-joint.  I have found the part number in the past and they are available for about $28.  Any shop that does drive shafts should be able to do the machine work.
