On my '94 K75RT it comes on when the ignition switch is in the park and run positions.

On my '92 RS it comes on when the ignition is turned on.

When the key is in the first position and if you have the headlight switch on the right switch block then when that switch is in the middle position.

It is a parking light so can be on when the ignition is off too.

On my 11/87 K100CJ the parking light is on when the ignition key is at the "park" position. The key can be removed in that position so the bike can be left locked with the parking light on.

Thanks, I have determined that my bulb is bad, I'll throw a new replacement bulb in and check it.
