I spied a blob under the outfit last week and, expecting the clutch rubber boot to be full of oil, I released the clip, pulled off the boot and found it was full of water and just a smidgeon of oil.
Further inspection showed a split in the rubber boot.
Today I fitted a new boot, all pretty straightforward, but here's a tip which makes life much easier. The M3 screw that comes with the clamp is 15mm long, requiring the thread to be disengaged to get the clamp over the ridge on the gearbox. Most of us then need three hands in the confined space to get the screw in place. Always a bit of a struggle.
Simply replacing the screw with a 20mm long one keeps the thread engaged and the clamp goes over the gearbox ridge easily.
