Is the Royal Hotel better or on par or worse than the Guyra Hotel?

The Guyra Hotel is about 50 yards closer to Schoorn's. Less distance to stagger walk. Especially when two steps to the front means at least one to the left and a bit of a skip behind while tripping on a non existant crack in the pavement.

50 yards is a long way when you've had a few too many and it wont matter if the bed bugs bite you wont even feel them.

Seamus gave me a private recommendation for the Royal. I think he must have a mate who owns it. You go to the Guyra and we can compare notes before making an entry into the accomodation web page site thing that we all should do.
I'm going to start a Bakeries of Australia rating site. Pie and cream bun being the official taste test. (real meat and real cream is a must, as we all know). Now to see if I can fit into those kevlar no stretch jeans.

so the coast it is for me .  7.00 am  brekky at Arakoon ,Trial Bay Gaol ( Jail ) , and photo comp pic,  then if time permits hang a left at Urunga through the forests to Bellingen , for a 9  - 9.30 meet with Guyra K's.

may be a wet and cold one next weekend, so I've just followed Rossko's suggestion , and have a room at the Guyra Hotel.
that way , should he need assistance to get back to the hotel ,
this may be an option 

We're going to have a bbq at my place on the Saturday evening after the ride. A simple affair.

I got the RT boxer back together and running again today so I'm in and have also booked 2 nights at the Pub. I'm heading down via kyogle/casino/tenterfield leaving  Friday between 9-10am, if anyone else is heading south and wants to ride along, let me know.

the Casino -Tenterfield variation is a goodun  you should be able to say you did the dividing range at least 3 - 4  times in a weekend by the time you get home ???

I would avoid the lions road if you are trying to make lots of kilometres in one day ....just my thoughts

I did lions road a few weeks back charlie, I was happy to get off it to be honest

I figured lunch in casino, guyra after 4pm. 

It takes over an hour just to get out of Brisbane in that direction from here ..

I am planning to leave about the same time from Beenleigh-ish. I was intending to take the the New England via a couple of un-travelled side roads. 

I may be on a non-K, the same as you as the 75S is having front brake problems which I will try and sort before I go.

If it is any help, last time I was up that way I left Boonah around 8.00
Then left Boonah again around 9.00
Then went to ipswich
then doubled back and went to Ipswich again
Then Toowoombaa
Then some place south or Allora
then back to Allora
then back to the place south of Allora and then a bit further but not too far
Then Warwick, but they had no fuel so back into Warwick and then back out again
And then I was waved off and onwards by my riding buddy at Stanthorpe
And then stopped in Glen Innes for an hour while I purchased a phone charger on the condition the guy in the hardware store let me charge my phone off his power while I went to the nearest bottle shop to secure an appropriate bribe for my next stop.
then left hardware, rang receiver or bribe, deal struck and arrived in Guyra.
Think that day was 11 hours in the saddle for about 500km

Rossko, I gave it a run and only issues I see are battery drain on the sender mobile plus it will only work when you have mobile coverage. I'm on optus and they don't work in some parts of Brisbane let alone the middle of NSW

And no I'm not changing to Telstra, I only pay $18/mth and will put up with it

How is that road from Grafton south? I'm looking at going home that way. NMRA says it's all tar.

They're right cept for thr roadworks and they're all sloppy mud.

The Summerland way from Grafton to Casino is a hot boring stretch of road, but the road from Grafton through Coutts Crossing , Nymboida , Tyringham and then Ebor is a road I often take. It's narrow and windy in parts with the odd pothole but a good road no dirt. It's worth a  stop at the Coaching Station Inn at Nymboida to see Russell Crows museum of interesting things on your way past.

Finances are poor and an anticipated 3500- 4000 km run is not cheap.

And I have had health issues for 5 weeks now although the symptoms have been with me for years.

Charlie knows when it became full blown.

He also advised me to "embrace" my Affliction and make the most of my days, which is also

great advice at any time of life!

I'm posting here because I recognise that everyone here is a Mate to the others.

ghosty offered me that k100 without any other concideration ...(many weeks ago now )  but its not my time yet ...and he went and bought it himself ...he is afflicted with the "k"pox for sure now  the poor guy has the worst disease of all ...but may have to give up smoking ...to afford the resto ...omg
