intermittent, the worse type of problem...this morning while out for a short ride on my '91 K100rs 2x the bike felt (and sounded) like it was only running on 3 cylinders.  It lasted between 5 and 25 seconds.  I'm going to reseat the coil wires.

has anyone else had a similar experience?

I have had the same issue with my 1991 16v RS and tried a lot of things before taking the throttle bodies off and discovering the inlet rubber on cylinder 2 was cracked and letting in air, I am waiting on parts to repair but symptoms sound very similar to yours.

I also had a similar problem on the LT not long after a service and plug change. It turned out to be a bad spark plug, brand new, failed a short time after it was fitted. NGK D7EA. A change sorted it out.
