I was under the impression that Max was a very reliable dealer.

As the guy on the video says... "you have to be shitting me".
I am not impressed at all and feel like to question Max BMW about this kind of service.

This video is very informative.

I have worked for a few major dealers and Honda aust and Suzuki and believe me this does not supprize me at all. I will say that if the splines had been lubed then I would be supprized.
I have said this many times before and will say it again.
If you are having your bike serviced by a major dealer then you are SERIOUSLY neglecting the bike.
If you want it done right do it your self or find out what is supposed to be done and sit there and watch. If the mechanic wont let you watch then go away and take your bike with you.

This guy has done some great videos for BMW owners, very funny, very informative and a must for all K owners to watch. You may have to turn the volume down if there are youngsters within ear shot though.
Highly recommended

Thanks, great advice, how simple are the K mechanicals when regular maintenance done, though the shafts were marketed as maintenance free, nothing really is, but how often do I service my car diff, new oil every 50000 km or more?. That Honda Moly mentioned is that graphite grease?? the Teflon stuff sounded interesting ? Re blocking the hollow shaft, I wonder if a frost plug might do it, tapped in??? or a neoprene bung tapped in? probably best just to lube her regular. Does the shaft actually oscillate up and down with swing arm arc movement? I thought once bolted up the length was set as its a monolever, unlike a paralever? great vid anyways.

The shaft moves very little, probably less than 0.1mm. Sidecar Paul measured the travel once and I think it was actually less than that.
