It's all there and fairly presentable so it should scrub up well

Agreed. Give it a good clean and a polish and you'll be amazed how good it looks.
Good buy.

Oh my Kgirl, all I see on that bike are $signs. edit (Value of the parts is what I meant, not expense in fixing them)
The fairing, seat, belly pan, exhaust. not the footpegs. they are old.
What a great looking machine to play with.
Have fun. Read the forums.
Take photos.
Look at what Halo and Old Goat are doing and take what you can from their posts and you will have one awesome looking bike.

I had just finished typing "post a pic" in the Intro thread then looked in on this one and there it is, as if by magic!
Nice looking motor and the seat looks comfy. I'm glad to see you have the belly pan too they look great and keep all the road crud off the header bolts. Good luck with it.

Hi Saxon, I started it and rode it when I got it home, it might need a new battery but once I gave it a charge the bike started straight away, ran smooth and the gear changes were smooth also, bit different to my Honda where the gear changes are a bit clunky.

Ok, slow going, life seems to get in the way of my fun, but I have managed to get all the fairing removed, I had trouble with 2 screws in the front that had been paintedover, stripped and rusted in, read a few of the forum tips, used wd40, tried the hammer and the screw driver but still nothing, so out came the drill took the head of and I was able to remove the fairing and unscrew the rest of the screw with multigrips.
need to get my stand sorted out so I can get my frame off.

Ah yes... the adventure begins. Thanks for the pics and the update. Rusted-in screws are a pain in the fundament - don't ask me how I know.
You'll find a lot of info and help here on this forum. Hang in there!
