I noticed the same glazing effect on plasic when thawing frozen pipes with a heat gun last year. The heat seems to liquify the resins but it may change the properties of the plastic. I would still use it in moderation tho. Good find Blakey!

Good one Blakey. Not only do we get info on plastic, but also soccer tips. How much spit do you need for major jobs?

This is interesting as I intend to try and restore all plastic parts, I think you may find they shine again due only to the mold release agent that is impregnated into the plastics during manufacturing comming to the surface when the plastic is heated. I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTiCWp0unjs and thought it was very useful.

I would first try it on an old crappy piece that's lying around just to see how it works out. Master of the bleedin' obvious I am!.

Big jobs: big spit. Little jobs: little spit.

...and don't forget the 303 Protectant for use on the good plastic.
