FYI
BMW has superseded part number 343 21 450 555 (rear brake hose from rear master thru grommet to hard pipe) with
part # 34 32 2 310 962 - this new part is a hose that runs from the rear master - thru grommet - to the caliper. (US$ 42.00 - 12-2011)
The hard pipe goes away.
If your grommet is a bit dodgy (hard) you may need to order new, as it has to fit over the bolt (?) heads of the new hose

I always seem to be one step ahead of these mods and get the last of the old stuff. Hopefully I have finished with that bit of the bike, but good to know.
