I'm rebuilding my rear master cylinder ('85 K100) and the brake hoses are attached to the master cylinder with crimp collars. My Chiltons says to disconnect them - should I bend those off then replace them with hose clamps? Or can I uncrimp then re-crimp on with pliers? Or other?

Personally, I would replace them, I've never had much luck getting any clamp back on the way it should be, plus to get them off the tend to bend in to weird shapes anyway. A lot easier to put new hose clamp on and piece of mind as well.

Thanks! And totally makes sense (I was over-thinking this). I love this forum, got your answer before I even made it back to the driveway Smile
