Well the Mother Ship is just about ready to fire her first shot in a lot of years. Fitted the new fuel pump and a few other bits & pieces last week. Pushed the start button and she turned over a beauty...just wouldn't start. Pulled out the spark plugs and had plenty of spark there. Checked the fuel rail and had plenty of fuel. Only thing between the two is injectors. Pulled them out and sent them to a mate for cleaning. He rang me tonight and after three days in a sonic bath they still would not open. I guess all those years of being closed have had a profound effect on them.
Had a look at the Euro Moto Electrics website and they have new Bosch ones for $80 (US) each so I guess I will probably go for the new ones with the higher flow rate at that price. It will just slow progress for a bit. I know the 90's Falcon ones are meant to fit but I am having some trouble matching impedance and flow rate to the OEM ones. Anyone got a ford part number.
So it looks like I will be on the Ducati for the Araluen trip. Bit worried now about what you folk will say about me now.
Stuff happens I guess. Still a cheap ride once I get it going.
