Hi
Just got the K100, 1986 from the USA.
Was a bit worse looking that I had hoped. Has plainly been down a number of times so the faring and engine guards are broken.
But here is a list of my first observations and questions:
1.The key is missing
Q. can a key be made by vin number?
2. The faring is broken in a few places.
Q. Is it easy to convert a faring bike to a naked one, what parts have to be swaped?
3. The clutch is stuck, the level can not be moved.
Q: Can this be anything else that the cable?
Other observations:
The battery is missing
The front forks are leaking
The rear light is broken along with one front turning signal light.
Both front and rear tires are shot (this I knew)
Both engine guards are broken from the engine
One leg of the center stand is broken off
Guess this in enough for now.
I will be traveling to LA CA later this month, any pointers on where to get good used BMW parts there
