I am going to replace the standard windshield on my 1985 K100RT with an electric one from a K1100LT. I have already bought the parts but I need to know how to connect the wires (my bike has no plug for this accessory). The electric windshield has a 5 pins plug. Does anyone has the wiring diagram for the K100LT or can explain me the wires color code ?

Here is an alternative. When I got my electric windshield, the micro switches were gone (the motorcycle had been sitting in salty water for a month).
I installed some external switches and did the following wiring. It's working on the same principal as the BMW one. The funny thing is that I didn't know that BMW used 2 relays too. My solution is very close to the original (I never saw this schematic before today).
This solution could be used if the internal switches of your system are bad. You will have to install 2 switches on the track (one for the end travel up and one for the end travel down).
