Hello,
My swing arm's rubber boot (between the swing arm and transmission) split and I'm trying to replace it. I got the replacement rubber boot from EME
https://www.euromotoelectrics.com/product-p/saboot552.htm
and I'm looking at how to put the snap ring into the new rubber boot. Any one know of any videos or diagrams on how it fits? I made the assumption that the old snap ring should work.  But so far I'm having problems fitting the snap ring into the rubber boot. As always suggestions welcomed.

It's not a job I've done, but I would have thought that inserting the boot into the swingarm and then folding the rest backwards around the swingarm would give you easy (easier?) access?

That's about as good an answer. Problem was I was orienting the rubber boot in the wrong way. If you look at the pictures here: https://www.euromotoelectrics.com/product-p/saboot552.htm
You will notice there is a long side and a short side. The long side fits into the swing arm and the spring seal fits in there too. And I had it reversed. As I'm stubborn it took me a while. Not helped by the lubricant I'd added. duck's Needlenose pliars were used to help seat the spring. That and a lot of wrestling with the rubber boot.
Thanks
J.
