Brisbane members at the Cane Toad after the Dawn Service.  It was great to have so many aussie members of the Forum at rally at the same time.  It was good to finally meet Waz and Gaz from NSW, my only regret was that I didn't have enough time to spend with them.  Rick, your new steed (K1200GT) is an absolute stunner and Mick, you might have to break out those trainer wheels mate.  Thanks to you all for attending, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

Just arrived home at 1215, traffic eased up after D'Aguilar I went home via Caboolture via Old Gympie Rd traffic was light and flowing faster than the highway. Had a great weekend full of adventures.

G'day All, arrived home at lunchtime  today after a short run down from Walcha NSW. Great to meet up with the SE Kld crew again.i.e.Matt,Martin,Paul and Mick. Also great to meet up with RickG.The rally site was great and the organisers did well in arranging great weather for the rally.
We , Gaz,Waz and I had a good run home without white knuckle moments, bike problems or punctures.

Back home again early this afternoon from my first Cane Toad Rally. The Queensland BMW club members chose a great site for their rally this year which was well run and it was nice to see the local community and businesses involved. 

I had a very enjoyable ride of around 2,500kms with a couple of my long term riding companions in Tom and Waz. We were able to call in to see Charlie in Glen Innes on the way north and Rick G joined our touring party as we passed by Stanthorpe. The weather Gods looked kindly upon us for the entire trip with no rain but a little fog around Walcha this morning.

For me the opportunity to meet the K100 forum group from south east Queensland was a bonus and certainly entertaining.

Now that the constraints of Covid have virtually disappeared for now (must not get complacent) here down under, I look forward to more meet ups and kilometres under the wheels.

A beauty. I had an '03 GT in the same colour. I reckon it had the most comfortable seat (heated, too) of any Beemer I've perched my derierre upon, as well as an ideal pegs to 'bars to seat ratio for my physical maths: near perfect ergos. And the smoothness & torque! I don't bring its memory up round Pamela as it was her favourite bike and she laments its sale still. It's fondly remembered as the Velvet Hammer.
