Wow what a great day.  7 K owners/riders attended.   Martin, Paul, Mick, Dan, Gary, Jacko and Bruce.

270 Kms Covered - No U turns, no-one got lost and much to Martins delight ( NO DIRT ROADS )

Ride consisted of

  • Meeting at Mt Coot-Tha  09.30 - 10.00
  • Mt Crosby
  • Lake Manchester
  • Fernvale Bakery for lunch.  Iced Latte, Caramel Milk Shake ( a few hours late ) and several Chocolate thick Shakes ahhh Paul.
  • Dundas - Bryden
  • A couple peeled off at Mt Glorious for the homeward journey due to commitments
  • Somerset Dam and around the back of the lake - Stopping at a lovely rest area on the side of the bitumen for another drink, banter and more BS.
  • Kilcoy for fuel and pit stop.
  • Woodford - D'Aguilar
  • Mt Mee - Oceanview.    Great Road
  • Dayboro ( Stopped for breather and a guy pulled up in his van, ex K owner and had a chat about the bikes and club etc )
  • Went our separate ways home

A GREAT day was had by all.   Thanks Dan for organising this and leading the Pac - well until Moggill Road, Indooroopilly anyway.

Looking forward to the next one.

Regards Bruce

Good write up and pictures Bruce.

Had the pleasure of watching, from an ever increasing distance, 2 senior riders in front of me give a master class in mountain cornering...No hope of catching you.

Another top day out with the SEQ Krew. Looks like we've got plenty for the Kane Toad rally.

Cheers Mick.  It was one of those days, temperature was right, bike was responding well to the run and temperatures and no cars slowing down a good ride through those awesome corners.  Might have to get you on a K75.    Lol.

Kind regards Bruce

Great post Bruce, glad you enjoyed

Ah yes....lucky I had the trusty 2nd in command Sqn Ldr to take over when the traffic got rough.... Embarassed

Sounds like you finished off the ride nicely. Mt.Gloryarse had a landslide on the western side (no issues tho) and a poor resurface in progress on the eastern side. A little Potoroo or wallaby thing decided to jump out in the rainforest section & say hi too.

Regards

Dan

Wow . . . a wallaby - that could have gone bad.  I think we made a good choice going the way we did.

Thought I might jump on the bandwagon as retirement looms for me as well.

Matt, do you think you could stretch your contribution to three people?  If not I would be happy if you came around and mowed the lawn once in a while.   Laughing
