I have a K1300R and under the battery compartment there is a 3 wire TE connector ( female) I would like to wire in my TomTom Drive 550 (ridiculously thin wires) so I can have switched power to the unit. Any ideas where I can get the male connecter part reasonably priced?

You could change the whole connector with a waterproof three pin connector from an electronics store.

That would be my way of doing it. Probably cheaper than buying a TE plug too.

I replaced the troublesome OEM 4 pin tank connector with one from Jaycar. Three pin is also available for $10.95 Au. https://www.jaycar.com.au/automotive-waterproof-plug-socket-set-3-way/p/PP2112

I'm moving this post from where it was posted in Member's Intro to electrical troubleshooting.

That lead is likely the BMW Nav 5 GPS connector - BMW dealers sell a two wire connector, that plugs straight into that three pin connector, with pos & neg and a length of yellow wire which you can use to connect to your Tom Tom. It's not inexpensive, however, so the aforementioned options might suit beter.

I'd just use Posi-Taps.

Also:  For accessory devices with very thin wires like your TomTom I always strip those carefully and then solder them to thicker wires and cover the soldered section with a layer or two of heat shrink tubing.
