You're probably not far wrong! Someone's tapped a Hella accessory plug into the existing loom - it's definately not standard.

Altitude plug - standard on US models.

Thanks , yeah the guy before me put a 12v “lighter” port for phone charger and I got a extra rear brake light...
I know a lot of other bikes I had , had a plug in for heated pants and gloves and Crap...didn’t know what the jack looked like ..hmm altitude huh...
I’ve owned a lot of bikes and this kbike is my favorite and I’ve only had in for a month , making me think about sticking with bmw when I get a loan for a new bike ...just the price kinda hurts my brain...but I’m thinking the extra money is worth it in the long run....
I got this one for 950$ ...I’m happy the previous owner looked out for me with that price...

No need to save your money for another Beemer, as mentioned above, you already own the best bike you could hope to get for the money.   Once you have it sorted, you will be set for reliable riding for at least 100,000 additional miles.

For the money, the K is the sturdiest, most reliable, easy to service bike with lots of cheap parts available, you can find.  The RT/LT models do look a bit dated, but that just adds to the onlooker's wow factor when you tell them how old your bike really is.  People don't expect to see a 35 year old bike 2500+ miles from home.

Thank you.....I was wondering if there is a list somewhere of commonly oiled and greased areas,? like a nice list to go over telling me where to oil and grease , besides the obvious area most common to all bikes....I know all the experienced k bike owners know all the nooks and crannies ...
