I've owned something like half a dozen K75Ss and as long as you get those two long M6 bolts properly threaded and fairly tight then it won't fall off. And at 90 MPH there's lots of wind pushing on the front of it to keep it on the mounting brackets.

Good point: I'll just have to ride everywhere at 90mph ! And I guess there is no easy way to slot it into the grommets...?

* Can a belly pan be fitted to a 1986 K100RS?
* Any advice/tips on what to look for when looking for them on eBay?
Many thanks!

Yes. But get the one for the 2V RS, not the 4V RS. They look very similar but are slightly different and mount differently.
Find one with both the mounting bracket and BP if you can.
It is black, and want about £70 plus P&P, which will cost a fortune due to the weight of the thing.mappedFA wrote:BobT wrote:I have a 16v one with the mounting brackets for sale if anyone needs one.
Hi BobT - what colour is your Belly Pan? How much are you looking for it?
Hi - could you send me some pictures of it? I would like to see it if possible - I am based in the UK, would you be able to post it here if a sale was agreed?BobT wrote:It is black, and want about £70 plus P&P, which will cost a fortune due to the weight of the thing.mappedFA wrote:BobT wrote:I have a 16v one with the mounting brackets for sale if anyone needs one.

Okay - brilliant stuff - thank youBobT wrote:I could post it there with no problems. I will be in the UK on the 8th of August for a tour around Devon and Cornwall, but will be on my Ducati Supersport 939, and that has no room for much in the way of luggage.
I'll take some pictures over the weekend.

South of France mate, if you can figure out the postage costs then let me know. I shall have to weigh the pan and mountings, get rough dimensions and then ask at the post office which will be funny.mappedFA wrote:hBobT wrote:I could post it there with no problems. Hey - hope you're having a good weekend! How are the pictures coming along? (sorry to chase) - where are you based by the way, trying to figure postage costs!

You could join the Irish contingent and visit in September and fit it here, talk to Olaf and he will give you the dates.
I'll do the pictures tomorrow afternoon.

Hey BobT - hope you've had a great weekend. I not sure what the costs would be for postage, but recently purchased full K100 panniers from Germany (via eBay) and it was around the £20 mark. I am sure we can figure that out! Any joy with the pictures?
Many thanks!
