A good glazier will be able to cut you one. If you want a convex one go to a car or trucker wrecker and find a convex mirror glass that is larger than the BM one. Take it to the glazier and have him cut it down..

Quite a few inmates have had this done successfully. And I vaguely remember something about sealing the edges after cutting a good glazier should be able to confirm this.

Hopefully you still have the plastic mount from the backside of your broken mirror.  It wasn't easy but I was able to salvage a good mirror with a bad mount and a good mount from a trashed mirror and make up a new one. If you have the mount you can do as Martin suggests

I had a mirror cut from a pickup truck mirror.  Cost me $20 and took about 15 minutes.  The guy who cut it traced a good one that I brought in.  The glass is the same for both sides.

Try asking around the antique car restorers.  They will be able to tell you who can cut one for you.

Worth keeping an eye on eBay too...nothing sensible there at the moment though. I was the sole bidder for a crappy looking mirror pod (with reasonable looking mirror) a couple of weeks ago, won and paid the princely sum of £0.99 plus £2.70 postage. On receipt, removed the mirror glass (slam down on the carpet method), removed the stuck on blindspot lens, cleaned up the mirror glass and I've now got myself a nice spare.

Also won a tidy looking exhaust muffler for the starting price of £0.99 plus £10 postage...only the courier managed to lose it between the seller and me and I had to settle for a full refund. Rather would have had the muffler though, as that was a seriously good bargain!
