Ok here goes
My machine is a '92 K1100lt and in fine shape
But
I have a spare  saddle from a later model (post '93) that i would like to use...
The problem i am having is with the rear bracket on later saddle as it appears to be lower (shorter) by about a half inch ( sorry, I'm pre-decimalisation) and makes it awkward to pivot the saddle up. The seat mouldings are quite different actually.

I wonder if any of you could tell me the bracket part number as i am having difficulty finding it

Thanks
Rod

The later bikes had about a half inch of rubber in the mounting brackets.  You can make things fit by adding your own about 1/2" spacers.  Been there, done that.

ETA: They don't have to be rubber spacers.  I used HDPE. (Plastic)

Hi Rod

As already mentioned the later seats had rubber in the front and rear mounting bracket's.

Take a look at this page
