Hi, Fuel tank leaking fuel. Been parked for a couple of weeks.
Around/ under the rear of the tank is wet with fuel [not pooling].
Removed tank and fuel [6lt] no signs of corrosion inside or outside of the tank.
Removed fuel sender unit to replace 'O' ring seal and noticed this on the electrical imput -

Could fuel leak out of here, those pin holes and can it be fixed ?   Cheers Dale

No, it's just a cover over the solder connections.

Put a new O-ring in it and see what happens, it will probably be OK as most O-rings have a 10 year life span and I will bet it hasn't had a new one since it left the factory.

Thanks for you’re responses.
Will be doing a new ‘O’ ring. The old one is hard & cracks when it’s flexed.

      Thanks again   Dale

If you have a hydraulics supplier near by, take the old o ring to them and explain what you need... will be cheaper.

Replaced the rubber 'O' ring.

It's a global epidemic, mine was also puking last month.  Also had to replace the burst fuel supply line the following week.  The burst fuel line is not a recommended roadside fix.  Replace these hoses while you have the tank off and in your shop rather than calling the mrs. to pick you up roadside and drive you to an auto supply place.  Cheap insurance!

Make them about 1 1/2" longer and you can do servicing like access coolant filler cap and access the relay box without removing the tank. . . but very wise advice if you buy a K of unknown history replace those hoses because the will leak darn quick.
