K75: nothing at all. If you look at the socket there's a small cutout next to each terminal. Push a thin screwdriver down there and flatten the tang on the terminal - it may take a bit of jiggling. Once the terminals are out, lever the tang back up to an angle of approx 10-20 degrees and push them back into the 'other' hole.
BobT: the problem (as I see it) is that relays made to the early DIN standard as used by BMW are not generally available over the counter now. OTOH, if you're is willing to simply swap the terminals round in the socket then the problem is completely moot.
