Hello,

I found a beat up donor bike and am looking at areas to replace and(or) upgrade. the wheels amongst other things are pretty scraped up from an accident, so im looking into the possibility of swapping out the wheels for another kind.
I have always liked the look of marchesini wheels, and was curious if its possible to fit a pair of them on my 90 K100 rs 16v abs (given Im able to find a cheap pair!!) Been looking for a tire calculator to find out which ones are close in dimensions, then comes the bearing, spacing, and abs mounting to hub or rim, and other issues that are over my head atm.

If not possible, Ive seen the 5 spoke rims off a K1200 on some K100`s and think they look pretty sharp too.
The stock tires on my K100 are 120/70 17in front, 160/60 18in rear. Rim size is 3.5x17 front and 4.5x18 rear which i found from this amazing article on the subject http://www.largiader.com/parts/wheels.html

Ive found the marchesini m10rs kompe wheels have the following dimension, so the fronts look like they fit(or are similar but the rears are not available in an 18in option. What types of modifications would I need to undergo in order to fit a 17inch rear 4.5 rim on the K100?
FRONT DIMENSION17" x 3,50" - 19" x 2,50"
REAR DIMENSION17" x 4,00" - 17" x 5,50" - 17" x 6,00"

Sorry if this post isnt detailed enough, i'm new to this type of bike modification process, Thanks for your patience.

Attempting to fab adapters up to allow aftermarket wheels to fit a K bike would be a job best left to a machinist - have a stack of dosh accessible. Here is a forum link to something seriously easier to do:
