If the weather's damp, Marie might pull the pin on the 'Dog.  You still might see me up there.

If I'm going I'll be there by 8:30. But many are conspiring to stop me. So I'll call myself a Tentative for tomorrow.

I feel a bit evil taking the bus tomorrow packed with gear for the upcoming morning tea .
The weather is not the best here at the moment , autumn is disappearing and winter is starting to rear its head.
Hope you all make it to Grey Gums ok .

For the first time in 11 years I put a tank through a bike I was riding. A truly fantastic feeling, caught up with Gaz at the truck stop outside of Branxton. Tom passed me coming into the place. Steve was a second behind me. We chatted for a good while waiting for others. When we were sure no one else would show we headed off. A pleasant run down to the Grey Gums wandering along keeping an eye on the headlight behind me, when it disappeared I slowed and idled along 10kph under the speed limit. Right at the Grey Gums straight I picked up the headlight again and we all entered the drive up to the bike park. After plenty of banter a Coffee was sort. Yet again we entered into convo after convo about bikes, K bike. Needing to return home to cook for Tomorrows Mothers Day event, I headed off after lunch. I met Al and the bloke who bought Rossco's twin headlighted bike as well as Bill Indian36 whilst there. I went alone back the way I came the others were heading off to Colo and over through Wisemans Ferry for the run home. I made it to Darkey's Crek before the fuel light started blinking on in the bends. Turned off and headed over to Broke on a full light, so that was one tank through the bike. Fuelled up on 95ron and headed out towards home. Spoke with a few blokes heading out to the Grey Gums and advised of the coppers I'd seen out there, also advised of the road works we'd encountered on the Putty, they were happy with the report. Rode through Cessnock and Neath where I heard the phone going off, but with just 5km's to home I ignored it. Home and parked up for the night, I am feeling absolutely chuffed with todays run. I will up the front tyre pressure and try again as the old girl feels a tad nervous on the road, could just be me after so long out of the saddle and it just my be I need more time there to get to know her. Thanks to Gaz80 for the encouragement, I really needed to get out on it. So bloody happy I did. Now to run the 95ron through it and see if some 98 will settle the idle which seems low and she also seems to run a tad rich. Another thing to sort out. Just a Happy chappy today. Anyone I missed, and there are a few, forgive me I cant remember the names.

(That will be StuartG you were thinking of Ed)

We had a great day! Pleasantly cool but managed to dodge the few showers around the horizon all day. Sounds like Keith enjoyed the day from his post above. At the Branxton launch site along with Keith we had Tom, Stuart, Steve and myself.

As promised Ed was at Grey Gums when we arrived followed shortly after by Al-58 and surprise, Indian 036 with his co-pilot on their way north for a family trip. As usual at that location there were plenty of riders out enjoying the day, some of whom were known to us as members of the BMW Touring Club.

After the extended morning tea and a few pictures to record the meeting Tom, Steve, Stuart and myself took the long way home via Sackville Ferry, Wisemans Ferry, Kulnura with lunch at Jerrys Cafe, Wollombi, Millfield where Tom and Steve were turning off for home, Cessnock where Stuart turned for home, leaving me to ride the few kilometres to my place at North Rothbury on damp roads but no rain.

Just over 350 kilometres for me and a bit more for the others.

Thanks for the kompany fellas.

Our track for the day

Cheers

Nice pics, Ed.
I hadn't realised Rossko had kept that 86. It was his first K bike I think? I remember him riding it to the meet at Bingara. Koffee in May (Sydeney) - Page 3 Sam_1311

Rosskko certainly had his own way of doing things. Interesting use of a pannier used as a top box Very Happy

That be my pannier from the orange rt. We followed a road from Coonabrabran that turned out to be rough and that thin powder like stuff. I went over onto the pannier and it needed  some attention in Bingara. The trip was very interesting...ask Rickmeister.

Good on you Michael . Great to see the krew adding plenty of help as Rosskko threw himself into the depths of it all.
