1 Spline lube on K100 with mk1 ABS? Mon Feb 16, 2015 5:08 pm

Hi everyone,
I have recently bought a 1989 K100RS SE, the one with the first generation ABS, which is all a bit new to me on a motorbike...
Following the good advice I have started to do a spline lube, the wheel and bevel are out and I am asking for your guidance before going to the next stage. I understand that I can pull the shaft, grease and replace with the swing arm still in place. I have watched Chris Harris's brilliant videos several times but they do not show ABS bikes. Mindful of the ABS and all it's plumbing, can I remove the gearbox bolts, replace with the slider bolts, unbolt from the frame and simply pull the whole box/swinging arm back just enough to grease the input splines?
I know the battery will need to come out, undo the starter and remove the alternator cover. Any other advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks!
Regards
Nigel
