I was driving into Maynooth earlier, having just replaced my clutch cable.
Nice sunny afternoon, and taking it handy.
As I approached a well known crossroads at Ladychapel I just had that thought / feeling...take her handy now
Local speed limit 80kph (50mph) but i think i was going slower.
In any case as I approached the junction, and I'm on the main road, a car came straight thru the stop sign from my left and turned left onto the main road in front of me....so fast that I have no doubt I would now be dead or injured. I guess it was a learner as there seemed to be a lot of hand gesticulation from the passenger. I didn't hang around

In any case,  I Thank the Lord for having the presence of mind to keep me alert and I live to ride another day.

It's funny how sometimes you do get that warning for no apparent reason. I've had a few of those myself.

Always better to be a few seconds later in this life than a few seconds earlier in the next.  Anon

This is what we call pro-active riding......
Just expect that other people will ignore you or don't see you and ride accordingly.

Just because you have that creepy feeling that they are out to get you doesn't mean they aren't.
