Who remembers Mike the Bike Hailwood.....A coal lorry backed out into a major road
giving no side vision to his oncoming car...sad...I remember it well.

Whilst at the 1990 IOM I was talking with an artist who had a painting of the late Mike for sale. On the Mountain banked over doing the business. You've just reminded me to kick myself again for passing it up. Incredible effort on his comeback.

A great man. I was at his successful return to the IOM in1978. I also met him when he flagged us off from the Earles Court Motorcycle show on a charity ride.
