Hi All,

There has been previous discussion about the K100 OEM resistive HT leads, and associated non resistor fitted plugs and how resistor fitted plugs should be used with replacement HT leads/caps which do not have the built in resistance.

So.......................

Does anyone know then why the K1100 (which has a 6K ohm lead/cap) uses a Bosch XR7LDC, where the 'R' denotes the interference suppression resistor.

In a similar fashion, on the Motorworks site the XR5DC is called up for the K100RS 16v and K1.

The impedance of the HT winding in the coil is higher and the load must be matched to the source to get the best power output.
