Hi all,

I'm converting a K100 2V to a post classic racer to attend classic TT races here in Belgium.
I saw the K1100 TB setup posts here and also started looking for a 4 hole injector that resembles the standard K100 injector.

First I found this site with injector flow rates: http://www.injectorcleaning.co.uk/flow.htm
We all know that the rate @ 2,5 bar is 133 ccm/min but here you will see that the stock standard K100 2V injector delivers a flow rate of 155 ccm/min @ 3 bar.

0280150208  155  16.2
This became my new flow rate to search for because all newer rates use 3 bar.

0280155870  154  14.5
After some research I finally found this new injector for the ridiculous amount of €13,68!!
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Fast-Free-Shipping-GElly-and-Xiali-BS-0280155870-FUEL-INJECTOR/1939393317.html

(So if I get screwed over by the Chinese, at least it wasn't that expensive lol)

Just ordered them and after some 30 days of shipment I'll be able to inform you all about any possible needed adjustments to get these installed.
I know there is a slight difference in coil resistance but this should not be an issue.

Grtz Martijn

So far my first contribution on this site.

Still building so I'll throw some pic's in there too sometime…

I'll keep it street legal with an exchangeable muffler so I can enjoy her all year long ;-)
But you're right, not really comfy for travelling with those clip-ons…
I must confess I have a Jap for that Embarassed

Ks tend to come in pairs.......so it needs a mate as in another K.....

Lots of the guys on the forum have more than one bike anyway and some are rather nice Japanese classics too.

The RT/LT or RS configuration seems to be particularly good for doing some long touring trips, especially if you get weather turning bad.

Welcome from Boise, Idaho USA.  I'll be very interested in how you get on with the new injectors too.  It seems with Chinese products, it always something of a roll of the dice.

Especially for that price…
I've seen them being sold for 50$ each so maybe I just bought a replica from a replica lol

I would be very careful dealing with any of the traders on Aliexpress and when you get a problem you're on your own because Aliexpress will almost always back the trader.
I may be wrong but I have come to the conclusion that Aliexpress is a seconds outlet for Chinese manufacturers.

Hi there from Belgium with news about 4 hole injectors for K100 177912 Hoi Martijn ! Even in het Nederlands: van harte welkom !!

Good choices, Martijn: buying a K, going dual with it (classic-race and touring) and last but not least: joining this ultimate forum !!
Heaps of nice people here, good humor but also: serious solutions for whatever problem with a K that can occur.

I'm also 'one of those members' 92KK refers to: own several K's now -OK, one basketcase RS but I'm sure she will arise someday- and several Jap-classics (GT and GS750's).

Hope to meet you someday (maybe at Francorchamps, Bikersdays ??) and shake hands !!

Keep us posted about those Chinese injectors, please ? Very interesting indeed !

Cheers

Jos.

Aliexpress reviews (712 total): 1 out of 5 poss. stars

"...more like Alibaba and the 1,000,000 thieves."  Razz

Sounds kinda like Harbor Freight (hardware outlet in US, low-cost Chinese products) but a heluva lot riskier.

1 of 5 stars would be about right. I have bought 6 items and 4 have not worked at all and one of the other two was very second rate. The only one is a heap of terminal connectors for building the chookie and they are quite good and 5% of the price I could get them here.
One item was a car radio with MP3 and MP5 player which didn't work at all and when I told them they wanted a video of what was wrong so I sent a video of it mounted in the dash doing precisely nothing and they said I needed to turn it on and I said I told you it doesn't work at all so they said make a video and send it to us so I threw it in the bin and that was the last time I will ever deal with those holes.

Hi Rick,

Very sorry to hear that…
Must say I've had bad experiences too with those guys, bought a headlight and it was shameful low budget plastic.
Good advice, stay away from electronics, clothing and of course jewelry!
And when you do order there, always make sure you pay insured. With my master card I can claim up to 500€ per year.
I usually only order mechanical parts there like cnc milled clip-ons, mirrors, etc… and always in the more "expensive" range.
And with these parts I'm really satisfied!
Also always buy things that have high quality pics so you can see how the finishing is.

With the injectors I'm so curious I just want to know, even if it will cost me 50 bucks…

Grtz Martijn

Ever been to the classic TT races in Gedinne? Really worth wile! Been there this year and I really got the vibes back. (Did classic sidecar racing when I was 16-17 as passenger)

See you are from Southern Limburg, not far away I guess. I live near Weert.

P.s. Sure you've heard of Beerens in Roggel then ;-) Bought my K1100 throttle body there.

Did a search for Bosch OEM# and came up with these from Alibaba.com.
Bosch OEM# 0280150210 Original single hole. These look to be made in Japan
Bosch OEM# 0280155870 Newer 4 hole nozzle. prices seem to vary.

Questions
- Anyone ordered anything thru these suppliers?
- If changing to 4 hole injector, does the engine need to be retuned?

Cheers

Kaptain H - I just clicked on the link, it's 100 pieces minimum order - we'd need 25 forum members for a group buy but I would be willing to organise it from here if someone on the forum can endorse the product as a good 'un.

The link to the 4 hole injectors goes to a list if products/suppliers. They vary greatly in price and min qty with minimums buys of 1, 5 10 & 50 also.
I've contacted one of them to find out what the story is. Waiting for reply.

Any one know if the engine needs to be retuned when upgrading to 4 hole injectors? From what I gather the flow rate is a little higher.

Cheers

I've been in touch with a manufacturer in China and he's got some good prices on bulk injectors but a problem he's pointed out is that the OEM 0280155870 4 hole injector (as discussed above) is a different size to the standard OEM 1580150210 1 hole injector. He emailed me this photo.
He's measured the bottom one from the back of the collar instead of the o-ring but that only a few mm anyway. So as far as I can see these won't fit a K100.

Does any one know the correct OEM part number for a 4 hole injector to fit a K100????
