Right, we are now officially spoilt with the weather! I don't know how many virgins you sacrificed John (or where you found them based on the ladies we saw on Saturday night
), but it was worth it.
I had to ride back to Cork with a scarf up to my sunglasses, otherwise I would have had third degree burns. It was a shame really, as you could smoke a cigarette behind the LT fairing.
It was a cracking weekend Grommit, and it was great to meet up with everybody again, and meet the new faces.
That coast road, the A2 is a thing of beauty, with brilliant coastal stretches, and then heading inland through some great twisty sections, before coming out in Ballycastle, to enjoy Philly steak, followed by icecream, and gazing over to Scotland. As I said to John, I would surely kill myself if I lived up there, as i would just get faster and faster until I fell off. That doesn't mean that I won't be scheduling a trip up there next year to do it all again
I then cut inland, on a different errand, on the way back to Doagh (pronounced Doaghh -phlem-, and not Duu), and then down the M2. The gps then brought me cross-country through some amazing back roads, the B25, on to Katesbridge, then up to Rathfriland, and over the Spelga Dam (real dambusters feel to the place), before dropping down to Kilkeel.
Thanks again for a great weekend. Both my and the LT's batteries are recharged.
