2 coming up in the not too distant future, one for the first time. just thought I'd give a heads up for any interested parties

Rally 1: 12/13 April - Inaugural SA Bit on The Side Get Together (Sidecar Gathering) MANNAHILL South Australia (You can guarantee a good collection of K-based chairs here)
Unfortunately for me this is the first weekend of my holidays, 2 days to get there and very doubtful I can get those extra 2 days off.

then just 2 weeks later


Rally 2: 25-27 April - Outfit Rally at Carters Beach(Murray River) near Strathmerton.
I've been to the Strathmerton rally a few times, its one of my favourites, fabulous site on a sandy beach on the river.  I've got something else booked unfortunately

I doubt I'll be able to make either of those. Just had a big ride and am off to the Karuah rally on Friday.  

The next is the Sidecar Rally at Bathurst on 27/28 September.

Traditionally its been on the Bridle Track north of Bathurst on the way to Hill End.  This year it's being moved to O'Connell (still near Bathurst) camped on the Fish River, with the additions of Live Music and a Bike/Rod/Car show on the Sunday morning.

I doubt I'll be going.

I'm thinking of going to the O'Connell one but it depends on whether we are back from riding across the Nullabor to Perth and back in time. Might try and do it on the way home.

sounds like an adventure in the planning there Sean. 
will that be the running in for the new beast?
I'm still searching for the flyer for the Oz gathering, has anyone seen it anywhere?

Waz and I might get a shop day together to sort out some chair bits . which may see a trip to SRK for preliminary inspection of subframing the K.


Amendment : due to unforseen circumstances ( injuring my offsider in a motor vehicle accident ) we are a bit short on weekend staff , so my fill in for the weekend is filling in for my offsider. Mind you I still need a full clearance from my quack for returning to normal duties.

amending my last amendment ,  might still make this one , fingers crossed.

I am as certain as it gets that I will be able to make this coming weekend rally. I am looking forward to meeting up and cant wait to check out the rigs that make it.
