a great concept with this K1 outfit. no struggling on turns and you keep the solo bike feel . not much different to the flexit style sidecars.

If you must put a sidecar on a K1, that is better than most, but a chair on a K1 seems a little sacreligious to me. Mad

Well you could make a "cafe" out of a K1. That would be the ultimate sacrelige.

I've seen that outfit too.
I had to laugh and hopefully not,  but it looks like the steering damper is screwed to the petrol tank.

If you look at pic.3 on the ebay ad you can see the steering damper is attached to a bracket which dives into the fairing.

It's not like you're going to make a K1 any uglier but adding a hack.

(I own a K1.)

I'd have no qualms whatsoever about putting a chair on a K1. There would be an extra couple of horsepower on offer in stock trim and it's hard to spoil the looks of a slightly disconcerted toffee apple. K1 sidecar 447221

I wonder if the bloke who designed the K1 and the bloke who designed the Ducati Paso went to the same rally, sat at the same camp fire etc.

Yeah, but does the Duc front fender crack after a couple of hundred miles of riding?

(I used to really hate K1s. But once I put a few miles on mine, it kind of started to grow on me, despite its quirkiness.)

No idea Duck, but it would be hard to deal with, most expect their front fender to last the length of the bikes time in their ownership.

Hello, it is just past six months Smile
The purple K100 belongs to Enigma, he is married to the woman driving the red/yellow K1 outfit.
The purple bike is called the WIFI, short for WInterFiets (winter bike). He has a small sidecar shop in the Netherlands. Both outfits are homebuild. The WIFI is purpose build for winter rally's
You find pictures on his homepage http://www.ezto.nl/ Or (day to day progress) on his facebook. His latest build is a center hub steering on the Alfa Romeo bike he build earlier. Th build of the Alfa Romeo bike called Enigma2 is on his personal homepage http://www.wilma-roger.nl/ The bike is running on LPG injection.
