Had my first burnout with the K, too bad it was the parkinglight.
Placed a 20W lamp, too hot to handle.
First took the electric windscreen off, and the plastic on the inside.
Took away the horms, and the plastic under the fairing, in between the forklegs.
Took away the 3 screws from the case, and found a way te get the case out of the fairing.
Also removed the instrument cluster, but had to go anyway, replaced lights for leds.
Using white/blue leds gives a nice bright shine on the instruments.
Back to headlight;
Removed the clips to remove the glass.
Then took everything apart, cleaned the glass and housing.
The inside of the housing became white, remembered someone here did that before (Charlie?)
Had 4 ledstrips, used 2 of them (6 on the strip) and placed them in the housing.
Found another (white?) led usefull for the original parkinglight.
Used white siliconcrap to keep the strips in place, and fill the holes for the wiring.
Placed all parts back, and back in the fairing.
White housing.....
Watch the LEDs when off
LEDs on, but blinding the camera
This is more reality, the no-name "daylight" bulb fits best with the LEDcolors.
