I'm just putting another fairing on my 84 K100RS. I was thinking of replacing these later. But as I'm just trying to get the bike back to a road worthy state to get it pink slipped, I was gonna remove these boots/gaiters/yolks or whatever they are and I intended to cut them off.

Question is, if I cut the blighters off instead of having to pull the forks out and slide them off, is the rigid frame part of them included in the new pair? or do I need to save these for the future new set of rubbers?

I'm poised with cutters.

The rigid frame does come with the new boots, jez, so no problem with cutting off the old ones.
