I took my tank and all of the skin off my bike a few days ago to do some routine maintenance and repair on a fairing piece that bit it on a gravel spill by the previous owner. I just got it all back together this morning and bam....it wouldn't start.

Thinking I might have fouled a plug, I pulled a couple and they were getting fire but I was getting nothing so I decide to check the forum for info.

I just got this bike so I'm still new to it's operation but K-Bike made a statement about the fuel pump running when you hit the fire button and then running for a second after you let up on it and I realized that I didn't hear the fuel pump which made sense because the plugs weren't smelly our fouled at all.

The fuel pump worked fine before I pulled the tank so I checked the electrical connect going into the tank and wallah.....it's just a four pin connector and apparently the guide is a little wore out because after I turned it a quarter turn and plugged it in she fired right up.

Hopefully this little bit of info will help someone else down the line.....Make sure the fuel gauge/fuel pump connector is plugged in properly to the tank because if it's like mine, it'll plug in any way you push it and you won't get squat if it's wrong.

The plug for the fuel pump is a problem on the K100. If you remove your tank, you should use a pair of long nose pliers to "re-tight" the female connectors.
I am Happy for you that you were able to solve your problem so easily.

Well done Slowride that is great troubleshooting thinking it through logically and then doing deduction. Good on you as they say here in New Zealand.
