My K100RS has done this 3 times now. Within about 2 minutes of start up from cold will just die and only rev whilst starter is engaged. Came good twice but third time had to leave bike overnight, started and ran fine next day. Any thoughts on this problem. Bike has done 166K kilometres. Regards Lefty108

I would first clean all electrical connections for the computer(EFI/Electronic ignition) + ground. If this doesn't solve the problem, I would test the water temperature sensor .

It could be and internal electronic component shutting off when it warms up.
You may also have a small crack on a printed board or what is called a cold soldering.

When is the last time you renewed the fuel filter? The fact that it does run when you press the starter makes me think it doesn't get enough fuel. When you press the starter the ECU gives extra fuel. If you run it with the tank cover open, do you see it spray?

Fuel filter is less than 10000 ks old, have not checked with the tank open.
