Ya gotta love that. They do all that work to the bike to make something completely different yet there is still a bit of wood stuck to the bottom of the side stand.

Will one have to paint all the curbs yellow to create the same effect where one goes?

That's an example of why some people shouldn't be encouraged.

If you Google 'moto martin BMW KI00' you'll see a few examples including a K1 that has been converted and is (was?) for sale in Australia.
Very pretty.
According to the write up, 20 K1's were Martinised.
Wonder what happened to all those K1 chassis and unused parts?
I agree with MikeP, having dipped my toe in converting, there's times you need to accept that a K is not a silk purse but a very capable pigs ear.

Would look better if the front mudguard was not fitted back to front.

It's a Parabellum mudguard, and it is correct mounted and ugly.
This design should lower the cw value, ...like the K1 front mudguard.

That's an example of why some people shouldn't be encouraged.

How convenient, the front mudguard let all the grit clog the radiator fins.

I bought my Beemer because I like BMW best, for comfort, prestige (they cost more new than most other brands), and reliability.
All that makes it different from all other brands and projects is what makes it a BMW : The original equipment.  (except the TPS).
Take it all off and you have just another flashy bike with a K engine.
When will they turn a Harley, or Yamaha into a K for a change ?
There must be plenty off fairings laying around.
