Welcome to the land of K bikes...Hopefully you will enjoy very much, lots of technical chat, occasional meets, sociable.

How long have you the K? A new owner or just found us? We are all desperate for photos and that means bike photos!!

You can post technical problems on a separate post, but do give us an idea what is needed. If you do post technical questions show your 7 digit VIN/Chassis number from the plate on the right hand side as this holds the key.

Everyone is very helpful.

Thank you for the welcoming. This my second 1985 k100 and have owned this bike for 3 years. Previous to that i had owned a k100 that was non-running in my possession. I never tried to get it running and had bought it for $350 later selling it to my uncle, who easily got it in working order with a starter relay. That bike had 130,000 miles when i sold it to him and now has over 160,000. With that reliability and and performance at the price a nice k100 can be a had at sold me.

K bikes seem to like a little care and tlc and a degree of patience. They are in fact quite easy to maintain apart from one or two items but even these when they are sorted tend to stay sorted.

Welcome to the Beemers Temple Shirley ! Wink
Amazing how cheap some Ks can be purchased for.
In this artificial world of glitter and appearance, real sound value is not reckoned as such, most people just go for flashy gimmicks.
Only the initiated ones know how easy it is to fall in love with those machines.
