spent the morning with Steve 1959, had a good chat, K 's of course. Koffee , biKKies and K bikes.
and sent him on his happy way with a new Evo shirt.
fitted the towbar before he arrived, just need to wire it up., and have mounted a bracket for the kamera, slight vibration , but we'll see what it brings.
Vinnies has some long johns on the rack , should I or shouldn't I?

just need to pack the essentials and fill up, then I'm ready.
plenty of sunlight yet. probably be restless tonight, but from what you guys are saying, best make the most of tonight in the warm bed.

apart from all that ,I'm ready.

Damo, what time can I pick the trailer up, I'll probably need an extra pillow if you can chuck one in.

Packed and ready. Bike feeling a bit heavy, may have to trim some fat and take just the necessities only as we'll be riding into a strong westerly all day tomorrow.

See you (well, some of you) at Carcoar tomorrow.
And the rest of you (well, most of you) at the Far Kairn on Saturday.

May the weather stay fine and the beer be cold.

I'm ready....

Who is going to the Far Kairn Rally? - Page 5 00910

just to answer any queries , the gearsak is loaded with shirts,

there is a reason for checking your air with a reliable gauge and compressor at home,,, today I found out why.

fueled up , no worries , then spun around and headed for the free air.
the pump was already set on 32 for the front, so lets get into it.
Hmmm.. after three attempts , the gauge was showing an error and resulted in a decrease to 16psi.  where will this get me to,,
I'm already half a km from home on the down side .
next servo is another half a km further from home, why not , they will have air.
finally found their pump hidden around the back, so into again ,
guess what .........  after some awkward navigation of a push button system , the result was I gained 1 extra pound , so with 17psi in the front end , I gingerly made my way home to do it properly with my own gear , now running on 32 front /38 rear ( tyre fitter set this 3 weeks ago).
so we are all good to go , see you tomorrow guys/ girls ,
where are we meeting in the morning Rossko? what time are you planning to leave the city?

Time to go.
Meeting GroverK on the M7
Highway for a bit then a scenic ride down through Stanwell Park, a quick wave to Ned on the way through and down to meet Waz at the gong.
Bit more highway then Macquarie pass Goulburn and onwards to Mt Panorama where hopefully the ride gods will let us meet up with Ulli and his brother for a museum visit and a lap of the track.

My bags are packed and I am ready to go.

I was there as well - red 1993 K1100RS with Aeroflow fairing. I had forgotten that I had joined this group many years ago and then forgotten about it.
I paid Marie P full price for the cap too (she asked is I was a forum member!).
The memory plays tricks some times as we get older.

Bingo, I can post. Our return trip from the FCR got us to Dubbo ,where we were held up as Oliver who wasn't well at the rally came down real sick.Where at the medical centre at 12.30 he was in bed by one and didn't really surface till tuesday night only to spew and take more drugs.High temps. hes picked up some real bug.and It wasn't alochol induced. As we there supposed to be home by wens a further 750kms. I started making plans to only do short hops home via the sidecar rally.which got the approval from home... . Now all my brownie pointa are gone.......we did get home in one peice, sort of, after 2200kms and a week .Oli is better now .
We where the only K sidecar at the SCR there where some very nice other outfits there.Bms of course.

next I'll have to get some photos up. and earn some more points .Laughing

That's bad luck for Oliver Steve, hope he's ok now?

Note there is another thread here for the rally itself, in the interests of completeness perhaps you could post there?

Glad you got home ok and regards to Oli.

Look forward to your pics and more story.

Other thread is called "Far Cairn Rally 2013" by Al58
