A few forum members attended the Leisure Riders rally at the Deer Park at Imbil on the weekend. Martin and I went via bitumen and Matt  dusted off his GS and hit the dirt with a few others.

Good fun roads around the area. Rally was well organised and the site had basic but clean facilities and beautiful camping sites right next to the flowing river - some rather cruel comments were made about one members physique when we went swimming - something about harpoons and Greenpeace as I recall.

Good night with DJ and old school music, good mixed crowd and plenty of entertainment from the suitably lubricated crowd.

A couple of other K bikes spotted on the road, heaps of GS's and the odd old R bike at the rally. A few potential members stopped for a chat and K biz discussion in general.

Not much of photographer but have a couple of photos below, I think the other guys might have more. These were taken when we stopped for an underpants inspection following an unnamed riders encounter with a patch of road repair gravel half way round a corner and a wandering rear wheel!! Same rider lost a pannier pulling out of Imbil..so some bad luck there.

Mick you should know me by now. 10 min with an orbital disc sander removed the deep gravel rash, I just need to finish of some finer discs (not in stock) wet and dry then cutting compound and finally plastic polish. Underwear in the wash. Unfortunately after 1200 today banned from the Brick and workshop for a week due to minor cosmetic surgery. Mick finally got a decent feed after his $16.00 Kenilworth Mega Burger was a failure. Lions catered the rally good prices and huge portions. Early risers caught sight of deer wandering through the camp site. The rally was very well attended I'd love to know the final figures.

have wanted to get to that one , one day , didn't realize it was on actually
  but attended the "thunder rally" around the Nundle area , this time , out of forests-dam sites  as fire risk and local running fires were already an issue a week or two ago .

Had a pretty good run home  
Only two cars on the dirt road, which is allays a blessing 


Got to see lots of deer had a herd of about sixty cross my path but I had spotted them coming up out of the ravine
so had all ready slowed down form them and watch them pass, I don't know what it is with animals that make them want to cross the road when they see a vehicle ?

I made it home around 10.30 am  unpacked the Gs and hung out the tent and sleeping bag, some how in the middle of the night when rolling around I hooked my water bladder  drinking tube and end up with the mouth piece under my body.

My body weight must have pressed down on the mouth piece and I ended up with about a litre of water at the bottom of the tent where my helmet was stored  which soaked up some into the lining  which was nice and cool the next day but the bottom of my bag was also wet around my feet which is what woke me up 

Been ages since I wet the bed.
