I may have missed something...but the bike is a BMW isn't it? Very Happy

My opinion only...I would take off the "K100LT" and the roundel from the fairing and, would make the K100LT on the sidecovers, horizontal.

I'm from the less-is-more school of thought.

Think that the ones on the fairing are a little large for my taste.

each to their own Jeff, I'm with the others , but we have to remember you have graciously asked for advice, if it were our bikes some of us wouldn't go as far, but you obviously had something in mind when you put them there....
seems you might be having second thoughts though....

possibly the K100LT on the fairing is a bit much , the subtlety of the one on the side cover would be plenty to acknowledge to non K admirers of the model,I even thought of one myself on my first K, but decided otherwise. and the roundel on the lower fairing seems OK.
It's surprising how many motorists walk up to you and suggest their admiration for a BMW,so wear it proud.

you are simply testing the possibilities of individuality, mate all I can say is try it, if you don't like it after a while just take it off.
let us know if you stay with it. Smile

I think BlaKey has the right idea. Remove the decal from the faring and make the one on the side cover parallel to the ground. I think the roundel on the lower should be changed to be on the upper approx. in alignment with the ones on the tank. I also think it should be a bit smaller around if possible.

Apparently...when the Kawasaki GT750 was launched (4 cylinder, shaft drive) the word "Kawasaki" appeared 11 or 12 times on the bike!
Tank, exhaust pipes, brake calipers, instrument "dashboard", above the tailight, crankcases...

I like them. When you are moving (past traffic) people can ID the bike

did you decide on where you were going to put the reflectors?

Grover, funny I went for a cruise yesterday and forgot I'd taped the Reflector to the fairing and it flew off on the highway, was that an appropriate position for it?

hopefully you didn't drop it in the wrong spot and some poor motorist is confused as to which side of the road they should be on.
there is no right or wrong as to where you place things on your bike , try it in a few different spots .

this is where I stuck mine, however, when I found some better looking ones I found it difficult to remove these ones.
the adhesive backing is quite strong.
and like yourself I have a couple on the rear of the panniers.just for added effect.

Ed, yes I always have in mind I'm invisible to other Vehicles, so is one reason I like the idea of a loudish Exhaust System on all my bikes, and the horn on my LT is damn loud. so a couple of Reflectors add to the visibility factor, also upgraded my /5 headlight to a H4, every bit helps. BTW, the Roundels on the fairing were on the bike when I bought it, and I quite like them in that lower position, my friend did too n stuck his there also. As far as the large Decals concerned, I'll leave it there for a while, had some positive comments on them from non bikers, only takes a hair dryer to remove them so no drama.

I like the design of both stickers, but as other said the one on the fairing is way too big.
I personally think that both should be parallel to the road.
I have a couple of pieces of reflective tape on the bike too. The 2 places very easy to cover with reflective and being quite efficient are the side reflectors on the front fork and the one on the back fender.

You guys think these Decals are abit much?...be Brutal.. Sticke10

Now, I don't want to hear anybody laughing.
I even put some reflective tape on the frame under the bike.
Why?
If I crash at night time and the battery is out, people may see the reflective in their headlight and slow down.

I use to sail and had the hull below the waterline painted to read "HELP", just in case I lost the keel and went over.

The K100LT on the side cover needs to be parallel with the top of the cover not the stripe. The K100LT on the fairinf maybe could have been in a colour to match the brownish or redish in the pinstripe and possibly have been italic and even maybe contained within a stripe that was only a bit darker but the same colour as the base colour of the bike.
It is right there but I think a bit stark. As for the badge either there or up on the fairing proper as there is nothing to identify the bikes as a BMW from side on except low down on the crank cover and that isn't the logo that almost everyone recognises as BMW.
The reflector My thinking of having a reflector on the side is to have as far forward as possible that way when headlights pick it up there is a minimium of bike and you exposed, the US market bikes have a reflector of a similar size on the front forks at the top of the sliders.

Thanks for the imput Rick, I know the US regulation reflectors you mentioned, I tested mounting it there though flat surface on curved no good, might order a set of the proper ones. Someone gave me the Decals so I got what I got, and appreciate his generosity, have a few so will take note of whats said and play around with em,...the Roundels were already on the crankcase fairing when I bought her.

I have been thinking of something to put on the fairing upper but couldnt come up with an idea till I saw what Grant had done with his K1100 and I really liked it. I can't find the post due to my RS search skills but his name on here is Monty I think.

You could try sealastic sealing compound as an adhesive, I've found it strong and long lasting on curved surfaces even good porous textile materials, I used it to glue in my k100 ignition switch module. wouldn't mind tourin oz oneday, keen on a bike swap sometime?? R

Thats the ones I like the way they are sort of opaque and the colour is close to what I will be having when I get rid of the pink which was supposed to be mystik Red

Don't forget that you can buy black reflective tape to use on the rear of your panniers or even on your frame.

You won't see it during the day, but it really lights up (reflects) at night.

I have some on my panniers and they work a treat!

I've just seen these on Motobins e-bay shop. I don't suppose they would be cheaper anywhere else.

I like em both, great the way you included a hint of the BMW logo, really insiteful. I like the shape of the radiator exhaust vents, would it look over done if a similar line ran around the fairing sticker you made??

Gidday Fellas,

Looking at that Jeff, maybe I should of went with a "darker gold" colour decal also I would level up the one on the side cover and run it the same angle as the botton of the seat, just a thought.

Keep a watch out in the mail as I will resend with a gold and also make a few smaller ones for the fairing for you to play about with.

Hey Grant, will you!, thanks again mate. lf you think that'll look sharper yeah we'll give the Gold a go, I'll take note on positioning the side cover decals level with the seat line.
