No the lowers off was initially just for access to the injectors, then for summer. the temperature difference on the legs is huge.
They will go back on in the winter , such a versatile bike.

I got a K1100 that turned out pink because the paint I ordered was mixed wrong with a double dose of pearl and the idiots would not refunf because they said it was a special mix so I painted it with them insisting it would get darker with more coats. It didn't and the bike is pink but Small Claims Court saw it a bit different and now I have some money to buy more paint but nothing to show for the hours of work.

I laughed at the 'pink' paint. I bought a car years ago with a colour called 'lacquer red' chosen from a colour card. Everyone else called it pink....
Glad it sorted out.

Very nice!
I'm a fan of that "deeper-red-but-not-quite-maroon" look.
Can I ask what color that actually is? Been thinking about a red color switch when I get side covers for my RS.

I would say Burgandy would be close. That is actually close to the mystik Red that mine was supposed to be.

I really like the bright red K100's if seen here and around.
I'm thinking (dangerous), if I ever paint another one (unlikely), I might try "Honda San Marino Red or the earlier Milano Red"
