Bought an 85 K100LT last Saturday with 20,600 miles. It is my first BMW. Have had Hondas, Harley's and a Suzuki in the past. I am really enjoying this bike as I learn its personality. One of the smoothest rides I have ever experienced. Feels like I could jump on this bike and ride across the USA and back without a worry. That could not be said about the old Suzuki GS1000 I sold back in January. Got a few questions and will be searching the forums. Hope to meet some of you on the road. Bob

In short, you could, Bob! it would be wise to check the grease points in the drive train as grease will have dried and hardened and also the rubber hoses as the may have perished.

Look under the portal tab above for a link called "You've bought a used K, what now" for tips.

Enjoy the ride!
