Ok needing some ideas here.... I have got both the water and oil pressure sensor on my LT, the Oil sensor wire is still attached to the sensor.... But the water temp sensor has managed to work it's way back into the oil/water pump! what options or ideas are there for feeding the water one back down and out of the hole....

I have considered replacing both wires as it would mean I can use the oil pump wire as a tracer wire when pulling the new through... has anyone done similar? I could try adding some string to the oil wire and pulling that all the way back through but would like to know if anyone has had success any other way before!

yes mate did the same with the cam chain replacement ...not long ago

in my case i used some coathanger type wire with the 2 cables taped to the wire but a little hook (nearly closed ) so it wouldnt hook up on anything ..... the loop - hook kinda hold the cables and tape on the wire

i pushed the coat hanger wire from the bottom to the top ....with a little bend in it to escape the oil water housing

then pulled both cables through ...no problem

Many thanks Charlie I will give that a try in the morning.... I remember when I put the water pump on I had thought to myself if I ever had the miss fortune of something like this it would be a Pita!

I am thinking of replacing both of the cables as they are both very brittle due to the years....

I will give your idea a try in the morning before I give her a wash

Use a long cable tie and before you push it down the hole feed it through itself and tie the wire into the loop then it is stiff but flexible enough to go down the hole and come out the other side all covered in black muck with the wire still attached.

Got the little bugger back in it's hole today... in the end I used a bit of single core electrical house wire to feed it up from the bottom and out the top! Damn that was fiddly.... I was then able to feed the wire down and connect it up.... not going to make that mistake in a hurry I think lol
