1. A new sound coming from the G/Box Clutch area. When hot and decelerating from +- 40kph to 0kph I can hear a whining buzz noise from the G/Box or Clutch. When I pull the clutch lever in the noise goes away. Before I start stripping everything has anyone had a similar problem ?. Perhaps G/Box bearing/s ,thrust bearing, the clutch does not slip or shudder on at all and there are no oil leaks.
2. I had the valves checked an shimmed by BMW Agents and the motor is running like a clock. However I had the opportunity yesterday on a nice open road to blow out the cobwebs and was very disappointed. I could always get a top end speed of +- 210kph but could only do 165kph in both directions. Could it be that BMW have set the valves too tight or when they fitted the new timing chain they jumped a link and this has affected the timing. I marked the Hall sensors before the work was done and these marks have not moved. Has anyone an idea on this ?
