I have been told by my Doctor that I have slight displaced Knee Cap (
The patella).

The only reason we ould come up for this condition is the fact that I use my knee to help me get my bike onto the centre stand.

So Beware, I could happen to you. I think the condition should be called BMW K syndrome Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Please don't take this too seriuosly

Well I been warning all about Kpox and the horrors it causes. Ingrown toe nails, displaced knee caps and bubonic plague just to name a few. But do you listen, NO you just merrily go on riding your bikes and enjoying yourselves regardless of the terrible toll it takes on your health and pockets (Oh I didnt tell you about the holes it makes in your pockets, that is where the money goes).

Take two beers and see me in the morning.

I have never had a problem getting my bike on the centre stand.
Even with bare feet it is not an issue.
I think some people (no personal offence meant Larrikin) make it harder than it needs to be due to the fact no one wants their bike to topple away from them.
For the first 6 years of its life my bike did not have a lifting handle. Never knew it was missing so never worried about it.
Only now have I fitted it.

I do have a bad right knee, dislocated patella that has been fractured once or twice.

Lifting handle is essential, weight on right foot on mainstand, left hand on left grip, leaning very slightly toward you and fine as long as your weight is keeing the mainstand hard on the ground so the bike cant topple. One pull with right hand [the only limb I never broke] while your left hand keeps it steady will roll the bike onto the main stand. The handle allows for keeping your back straight, [absolutely essential] and allows you to stand back enough to let the weight of the bike roll it onto the mainstand.

I cant imagine getting an LT onto mainstand without the handle.

Larikin maybe you could invest in a K1100 stand the bike goes on much easier than with a K100. They are a straight swap.

I bounce the (K100) front suspension first, then lift it to the center stand on the rebound. Centre Stand (Medical advice) 2854237993

Ripped my C6/C7 nerve from my neck on the first Rego inspection for the LT, putting it up on the centrestand.
but that only gave us ( bike and me) a better understanding of who is boss , all sorted now.
